Just to add to the incredible first day of #E32015, Playstation amazed fans at their evening conference by presenting an honest to goodness Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming first to Playstation 4. This isn’t a joke. No we’re not trolling you, this has been 100% confirmed. It’s coming all that’s left to know now is when.
The news of the game people have been waiting decades for came via a very short trailer showcasing the iconic buster sword resting on the back of our spikey haired protagonist as he walks through the crowded streets of Midgar, all beautifully designed and crafted in current gen graphics in an art style eerily similar to the art styles of Final Fantasy: Advent Children.
Thus far, no release date has been announced, but it’s fair to say that given the brief teaser showcased at E3, it’s still a while off.
Square Enix just sent out an official press release, announcing that they’ve “begun production” on the remake. Sounds like this ain’t coming for a long time.
