Those who went to the extreme of going to the release of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance at your local GameStop received a Skin for the Original Cyborg Ninja for MGS 1. 360 users are outraged however, as their pre-order code doesn’t work.
GameStop received an E-mail from Microsoft saying “There appears to be a problem with the Cyborg Ninja Redeem Code for Xbox 360, this is a publisher issue and we’re working with the team to get this fixed as quickly as possible. Naturally, the impatient took to twitter to harrass Konami and the new gun, Platinum games in response to their “Broken codes” Xbox Support finally released a public statement on twitter saying
Hey just wanted to check in and let you know that the Metal Gear Rising codes should be good to go on Saturday! ^CW
Though this makes a Pre-order code practically useless, as the Cyborg Ninja skin is hidden away on the Live Marketplace for 240 points. Users can take comfort that even though they can’t use it now, at least they get the skin for free. Still, this hasn’t stopped people from getting just a little upset about the lack of First Day launch Nostalgic Action.
